Alexa Vega and Carlos Pena, former child stars who are now husband and wife, recently shared heartbreaking news with their followers. On April 15, they announced in a joint statement on Instagram that their daughter, Indy, was stillborn.
“There are never the right words to say when it comes to loss,” they began. They went on to explain that after a beautiful and peaceful delivery, their daughter, Indy, was born at rest. The couple expressed the deep pain of their journey, but also shared that they have found peace amidst their grief, feeling comforted by their faith.
They emphasized how much the prayers and support from their loved ones have meant to them during this difficult time, stating that their daughter has already made a significant impact on their lives. Indy was their fourth child, and they noted that she was absolutely beautiful, with dark hair just like her father’s.
Carlos and Alexa also shared that grief has come to them in waves, and while it has been challenging, they feel blessed to have had even a brief moment with their daughter.
