An Italian Pianist strides on to the America’s Got Talent stage and speaks to the judges in broken English saying, “I want to share my music with you, and America, it’s classical music”. Simon Cowell rolls his eyes as if to say this will be fun. He walks over to the piano, sits down and starts playing “Für Elise”. The camera pans to the audience who don’t seem very impressed, some even yawning as he plays the classic piece. Suddenly, out of nowhere, he kicks the piano stool away and pulls out an audition that would go viral hitting over 9 million views online as he blew all preconceptions out of the water.

Patrizio Ratto’s Stunning Transformation on AGT

Unexpected Beginnings

Patrizio Ratto’s audition on America’s Got Talent in 2019 seemed unremarkable at first. The shy, nervous Italian pianist appeared to perform a straightforward rendition of Beethoven’s “Für Elise,” much to the judges’ lack of enthusiasm.

A Surprise Twist

However, Ratto took everyone by surprise when he slowed the tempo and introduced an electronic hip-hop beat. While still playing the piano with one hand, he began moving his other arm in rhythm, leaving Simon Cowell and the audience puzzled.

An Explosive Performance

Ratto then discarded his piano stool and suit jacket, launching into an energetic, robotic dance. His incredible contortion and flexibility captivated the audience, as he bounced and leaned with astonishing agility.
