Sarah Palin talks about a new romance, divorce, and running for Congress.

Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, has been making strides in her personal life and political career. After her 2020 divorce from Todd Palin, her husband of 30 years, she has openly discussed the emotional impact, calling it “earth-shattering” in a recent interview with The New York Post. The divorce came as a surprise to Palin, who revealed that she learned about Todd’s filing through an email from his attorney. The couple shares five children, and though their marriage ended, both have moved on—Todd is reportedly spending time with his girlfriend, while Palin has found companionship with retired New York Rangers player Ron Duguay.

Palin’s relationship with Duguay, 64, began after he sought her advice regarding her defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. Although the lawsuit was eventually dropped, their bond deepened, with Palin describing the relationship as “safe and comfortable.” Duguay, who was previously married to supermodel Kim Alexis, supported Palin throughout the lawsuit and has shown strong backing for her political endeavors.

Politically, Palin is gearing up for a run to represent Alaska in Congress, following the passing of longtime Representative Don Young in March. She announced her candidacy, aiming to fill the seat and continue Young’s legacy of service to Alaska. Palin has already received the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, and she has expressed her dedication to representing Alaskans with the same fervor that Young did over his nearly five-decade career.

As she moves forward with her personal and professional life, Palin’s focus seems to be on creating a positive future for herself while maintaining her connection to Alaska and its people.
